1. Go to the Official Website
Open your browser and go to https://freewallet.io (the official Counterparty Free Wallet site).
Make sure the URL is correct to avoid phishing sites.
2. Create a New Wallet
Click Create New Wallet.
The site will generate a 12-word seed phrase (your backup key).
Write it down on paper and keep it safe — never store it online.
This seed phrase allows you to recover your wallet if needed.
3. Access Your Wallet
After saving your seed phrase, click Open Wallet.
You will see your wallet dashboard with a Bitcoin address (also used for Counterparty assets).
4. Fund Your Wallet
Copy your wallet address from the dashboard.
Send Bitcoin (BTC) to this address to pay for transaction fees.
You can now also receive XCP or Counterparty tokens at the same address.
5. Send & Receive Tokens
Receive: Share your address to accept BTC, XCP, or other tokens.
Send: Click Send, enter the recipient’s address, choose the asset, and confirm the transaction.
6. Manage Counterparty Assets
Counterparty tokens (like rare NFTs or assets) appear in your wallet once received.
You can send them the same way as BTC or XCP.
7. Stay Safe
Never share your seed phrase or private keys.
Always double-check the website URL before logging in.
For large amounts, consider using Cold Storage or a hardware wallet with Counterparty support.
